Informal settlement- Hi everyone. I’m a relatively recent homeowner in the Paulshof area and wanted to ask whether there have been any developments regarding the informal settlement nearby. I recall there being movement around human settlements a month or two ago, but from the outside it doesn’t seem to have yielded much progress. Have residents simply given up on the issue? I’m raising this because there are real concerns around sanitation, safety and crime in the surrounding area, which affects both residents and the people living in the settlement itself. I want to be clear that I’m sympathetic to the difficult circumstances many people there face. No one should have to live in unsafe or unhealthy conditions. At the same time, the current situation impacts the wider community and raises concerns for everyone. I understand that the informal settlement has existed for many years and that these issues are complex, but I don’t think we should give up on Paulshof. I’d really like to encourage residents and homeowners to continue engaging, raising concerns and putting pressure on the relevant authorities for sustainable solutions that benefit everyone. Does anyone have updates on current efforts or plans?
