Power
The outage at Villieria substation is caused by stolen cores, with repair teams attending. The Wonderboom South outage at 18th Avenue and De Beer Street remains under investigation. A power alert attributes the outage to vandalism and theft of multicore cables at Eland Switchyard, affecting Jacaranda secondary substation, Waverley, Rietfontein, Villieria and parts of Gezina.
Internet
Internet services remain affected in Waterkloof Glen, including Hugo Street, Marni Street, Roslyn Avenue, Judith Street, Timothy Street, Beethoven and Durr Street; reports suggest road construction damaged a cable. Fibre is also down on Anton van Wouw. Internet is also down in Constantia Park, where technicians are working to restore service.
Water
Water supply remains disrupted in Pretoria CBD and surrounding areas, including Sunnyside, after a 1,000 mm HDPE pipe burst behind the Gautrain Station. The City of Tshwane says repairs are ongoing and has arranged stationed and roaming water tankers, including at Unisa, Barclay Square, Jacaranda Hospital and Sunnyside SAPS. Sunnyside Swimming Pool operations are suspended from 14 October until further notice; no restoration estimate is available.
